During the excavation survey at Kurokami Minami Campus, a coffin tomb with a circumferential groove from the Yayoi period (shu groove tomb) and a group of buildings related to ancient official roads were discovered.
Among these, the Yayoi period surrounding ditch tombs have few similar examples even in Kumamoto Prefecture, and are of high academic value. We will be holding an on-site information session for the general public to view.
