This brick building was constructed simultaneously with the Goko Main Building. The laboratories are equipped with draft chambers, which are ventilation devices that harness the updraft generated by lamps to expel harmful fumes. The building has also been recognized as a chemical heritage site by the Chemical Society of Japan.
